Once a Month Friendzy
Trinity Assembly of GodMontoursville, PA
TO: Creative Friendzy
FROM: Pam & Kathy
SUBJECT: Our Monthly Friendzy
DATE: March 8
Hi Pam & Kathy,
Just emailing to let you know how last night went at our Creative Friendzy Premier.
At the welcoming table everyone signed in, made a name tag, purchased an optional folder for Creative Friendzy info sheets,
filled out a prayer request form, and picked up 4 info flyers for that session. Since it was the first night,
this table was busy at times.
We had a total of 23!
Our tables were covered with brown wrapping paper. The top was x'd using yellow and black construction streamers. In the center
we had a plastic construction hat and then had various tools scattered around. It worked out that we had decorations left from
our VBS construction theme.
We started around 7:20 by opening with the Home Improvement skit from the Resource CD.
Someone read a special opening about women and the home.
Opening prayer.
I then opened by playing the promotional DVD. I explained how Creative Friendzy came about for us and what my dream is for the ministry.
I had a sheet typed up with all the committees and who was on them. I included their names, phone, email, and what to contact them
for. I also had our future dates listed. (at this time we are doing it once a month)
I then talked about “creativity,” what it is and what it’s not. We shared 10 ways to boost one’s creativity.
I encouraged them to seriously think about what they like to do and what they could share with all of us.
I decided to share with them some info on how to hang “prints”. It seemed to fit the theme and as a Home Interior
Decorating Consultant, I had the resources to put it together. With the help of another consultant, we shared how high to hang a print
and how to choose frames. We showed different ways to arrange a grouping, gave tips on what to look for when hanging a print that has
content facing a certain way, how to layout grouping before hanging it on the wall. I ended by showing them how to use nails, and
what I call anchor screws, into a piece of drywall, without using all the fancy tools the men use. (smile) They seemed to really
enjoy the info. They also had a handout sheet that showed many ways to arrange groupings on a wall.
After giving them a taste of what Creative Friendzy can be, we ended by serving dump cake, since we “dumped” everything on
them in one night.
I then put on the prayer music and had them take some time to fill out a “getting to know you” form. After doing this
preview night, we then offered the student books to purchase for those who were interested in coming back. We sold all that we
had, and when we get a final count, we will be ordering another pack or two.
Our plan so far for our next session is to begin with Session 1. Everyone was interested in buying a composition notebook for our
workshops, so we are going to have a stampin up demonstrator walk us through decorating the cover as our project that night.
Don’t know whom we will have as a speaker at this time but we are working on that.
Well, I’m glad the preview night is over and we are on our way. I did do one boo boo last night, I forgot to pray before
our refreshment! I just realized it this morning when I was replaying things in my head! I'm gonna get fired!
Just kidding, maybe no one noticed.
Thanks for your help.
