 budding friendships...
Flowers. I absolutely love flowers. Any kind will do.
No occasion is needed. The bright colors and the perfect design bring joy to my
heart whenever I look at them.
Each year I commit that I will become a
runner-up in the Better Homes & Gardens BEST GARDEN contest. Each year, I
gaze at the dandelions and clover that appear in my yard and try to convince
myself that they really are as beautiful as roses.
Somewhere between my zeal for gorgeous blooms and my
hectic every day life, I don’t purpose time to cultivate the ground, plant the
seeds, pull the weeds and water the new sprouts in order to reap the benefits of
a beautiful garden of flowers.
Friendships are the same way. We say we want
friends—incredible, loving, witty friends—yet do we purpose time in our lives to
do what it takes to cultivate meaningful relationships?
May new seeds of friendship sprout for all of us this
Spring!
