Happy Anniversary!
Creative Friendzy® Passes the 4 year mark

Happy Anniversary, Creative Friendzy!

Four years ago in Autumn, the Lord began stirring in us a desire to see women use their creative skills to build friendships, encourage others and find purpose.  Then a year later, Daisies in the Rain Publishing Company
® was launched to produce the Creative Friendzy® products.  Since that time, thousands of new friendz have discovered incredibly creative ways to share the love of Jesus and have developed great character through the Friendzy Bible series.
This time of year reminds us also that harvest time is upon us.  The seeds of kindness that have been planted throughout the year have grown into potential new friendships.  Don’t miss opportunities to gather this “crop” together to grow character, build community and develop creativity.  It’s what Creative Friendzy’s all about!

Good to be friendz!

Great Idea - School Outreach

Friendz at Moses Lake Assembly of God in Washington had a great idea for reaching out to the schools in the community. Teams of two hostesses decoratee each table for eight with a "Back to School" theme. The decorations on the walls included bulletin board sets, and the backdrop for the event was filled with mounds of school supplies that ladies of the church had collected for several weeks before school started.
The table teams used backpacks on chairs, storybooks and school supplies to create amazing table decorations. Each team also provided a dessert for their guests, and many used lunch bags full of fun snacks, apple creations or Fall favorites.
The program featured three unique teachers sharing for 5 minutes each about how God uses them in ministry through teaching. One has taught 2 & 3-year-olds for 30 years in Sunday School, one was an 8-year P.E. teacher and another was a young college student in her final year to become a teacher.
All the retired teachers were honored for their service and a moving skit was performed depicting the strong influence of a teacher on the future of a child.
The program concluded as all the attending teachers were brought to the front for honor, then the school secretaries, cooks, maintenance staff, librarians, etc. joined them. After rousing applause, a special prayer was offered for these ladies that will touch the next generation in our schools with the love of Jesus.
The night concluded by gathering all the school supplies in one area.  The teachers (representing every school) divided the supplies, and took them to their schools for distribution to low-income.
The teachers squealed with delight to know they were able to bless so many children and their fellow teachers from the mound of supplies provided.  Even the bulletin board decorations on the walls were carefully removed by the teachers for use in their classrooms.
One wonderful evening of fellowship for us will bless countless students and teachers throughout this school year. It also caused many ladies to begin a prayer emphasis for the schools that will continue long after the fellowship hall's lights were turned off.

School Days
by Pam Morton and Kathy Jingling

On school days, my husband and I take turns dropping off our two girls at school.  Aria is 14 and making her way through 8th grade.  Emileigh is nearly 16 and has successfully navigated middle school up through 10th grade first semester.
One of the great joys as parents is knowing that you’re imparting to your children a sense of worth, a feeling of purpose.  To remind them of their value, their dad will slowly pull up to the school and let them begin unloading backpacks, instruments, lunches, etc.
Once they have everything in hand, they begin their walk up the sidewalk.  Slowly he presses the button that rolls the window down.  Just as they think they’ve made it into the clear, he’ll...(read more)
